A New to Industry role is an outstanding opportunity to get your start in the mining industry. Candidates selected for a New to Industry role will be inducted into the mining industry and fully trained in the operations of Haul Trucks (CAT and/or Komatsu). These roles are generally reserved for candidates who reside locally to the mine and not on a fly in fly out (FIFO) basis.
New to Industry roles are highly competitive and draw applicants with a wide variety of skills and experience. Those who will stand out in the crowd will be safety focused, demonstrate a willingness to learn and work well as part of a team. Candidates who have prior experience working with heavy machinery and shift work will be highly regarded, but attitude, commitment and participation in the process is what will get the successful candidates over the line.
